| Wednesday was a squally blustery day - making me reluctant to venture out; I was surprised, given the adverse circumstance, to be able to capture this snapshot of a goldfinch.[The feeders were regularly visited by siskins and goldfinches despite being buffeted by the high winds]. |

| as I boldly braved the elements - leaning across the kitchen's stable-type door - this blackbird kept a wary eye on me, even cocked an ear to listen to my murmurings! |
